Infos about dive sites

You will find all the details on our page describing the dive sites: READ HERE

For snorkeling with our diving boat, we recommend:

SAIL ROCK pinnacles (Between Koh Tao & Koh Phangan):

is divided in 2 pinnacles: The rock itself that is going out of the water and east pinnacle that starts at 19 meters deep about 50 meters away from Sai Rock. The main rock has an amazing chimney. You can go inside using one of the 3 entrances which are at 5, 13 and 19 meters deep.

KOH WAO Bay (Anthong):

Koh Woa Bay is a lovely shallow dive site offering perfect training conditions and really long dives opportunity. This dive site displays beautiful anemone gardens that stretch as far as the eyes can see.

All the usual companions are there. A well balanced dive site is Koh Wao for example.

KOH YIPPON (Anthong):

The dive site of Koh Yippon is a huge island when it comes to diving. You can do many dives there without diving the same spot twice.

KOH NANGYUAN (Koh Tao):

Koh Nangyuan constitutes 3 little islands united by a triangular sand bank. We usually see this place on post cards. These islands offer awesome snorkeling and diving opportunities.

JAPANESE GARDEN (Koh Tao):

One area is the coral garden and the other is the rock side. The coral garden is a mix of soft & hard corals that are covered with Christmas three worms with anemones randomly spread out.

MANGO BAY (Koh Tao):

Mango Bay is a beautiful bay on the north side of Koh Tao that offers amazing snorkeling as well as ideal diving training conditions. It is a really shallow dive site even if you can reach 18 meters, the good stuff is quite shallow. The coral garden seems to never end as it goes all the way out of the bay.

LIGHTHOUSE BAY (Koh Tao):

Lighthouse Bay is mainly a boulder formation that offers lots of swim-through with an impressive light effect if you swim out of the bay. All the usual colourful companions are seen along with others like moorish idol and black fin surgeon fish. Therefore its a cool spot too for snorkeling.

About Whale sharks

Take your chance to dive with a WHALE SHARK, the biggest fish on this planet!!

It is impressive and very safe as the whale shark does not have big teeth and behaves smoothly.

They can be between 3 up to 7 meters at this dive site. The adults, who can reach 15 meters long or more, usually stay away from the divers.

Whale sharks have a life span of 70 to 100 years. We have to respect them and never touch them as that can strengthen their lives in generating skin diseases.

This gentle giant is majestic, very friendly and are looking for the company of divers. As they will most likely swim around the divers, no need to rush! Just stay still and admire the creature. Its unique.

The bigger fish of the planet can be even seen by snorkelers as most of the time whale sharks are swimming close to the surface.

Whale sharks are endangered:

Whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) are the largest shark, and indeed largest of any fishes alive today. They feed on plankton and travel large distances to find enough food to sustain their huge size, and to reproduce. We can find Whale sharks in all the tropical oceans of the world. Their white spotted colouration makes these gentle giants easy to distinguish, and popular with snorkelers and divers at sites where they aggregate off the coast.

We don’t know for sure the maximum size of whale sharks. However we found 1 dead animal of 20 meters. Females give birth to live young but this has never been observed. Whale sharks are very rare on the planet. Adults are often found feeding at the surface, but may dive to 1000m. Whale sharks are protected from fishing in many countries these days. However unfortunately they are in decline in some areas.
